What is a "Western"?
The words "The Wild West" conjure up images of cowboys and their loyal steeds, gunslingers and their shining pistols, cattle and trains and wide open praries and bustling little towns. While not inaccurate, this picture barely scratches the surface of what a Western can be!
I'll come right out and admit I don't have a way with words like some people do. You can read all kinds of beautiful, poetic explanations of Westerns elsewhere, so I'll just tell you, in my own inelegant ineloquent terms, what Westerns are to me.
